HIJAB

Young girl don't u cry
don’t let the ignorant pull u down…

As long as God is on your side,
Your beautiful face shouldn't hold a frown…
They will criticize u for your modesty
They think your father or husband is forcing u…

Sisters don’t be afraid to speak with honesty
Keep your head up and don't shed any tears…

Young girl, u need to realize
In u they want to instill some fears…

They don't understand why u covers up so
They hate on u without a cause…
Annoying u just to see how angry u will become.
They will ignore everything but your flaws….

And hope that one day u will succumb.
 I know you're trying to stay strong…

Even when others do u wrong.
Although u try and try…

You cannot escape their ridicule.
But keep holding on and u will see…

The reward is greater in the hereafter
When u stand before the Almighty God
I pray inshallah that your heart be filled with laughter..

Journalism

Good journalism informs analyses and shapes opinion. Due to the enormous influence it exerts on the lives of people, journalism is also referred to as the 'Fourth Estate'. The growing awareness that knowledge is power has also given an impetus to the regional and vernacular press to expand and strengthen its scope in the past few years.
Today, a large number of accredited journalists, together with countless stringers, critics, commentators, and others seek out, report on and publicize occurrences of consequence happening in the world around us. Their stories are carried out by numerous newspapers, magazines and periodicals, besides radio and television networks. Some of these cover a general mix of political, financial, social, and environmental and sports news. Others focus on the specific needs of professional or special interest groups.
There are a number of separate areas in which journalists work. These include: Newspapers, including dailies, weeklies and tabloids which carry various types of news, comments and analyses of current events. News Agencies and Bureau which are centralized organizations where news from different places is received and then syndicated to other sections of the press. Periodicals which are publications printed at certain set intervals and contain more in-depth coverage of news and information. Most periodicals either feature news and current affairs or are focused at special interest groups such as professionals, women and children, art, computers, sports, theatre and film and so on.
Electronic media which includes the collection and compilation of information and visual material for broadcast on radio and television.

Work
Various elements go into the publication of a newspaper or periodical. Division of duties usually depends on the size of the editorial organization.
Reporting implies coverage of any kind of event to get a story. Wherever possible, reporters research the background of a subject before beginning investigations. They attend press conferences, conduct interviews, and visit sites of major occurrence to gain firsthand experience for their report.
News / features editing is usually a task assigned to journalists with good organizing skills. This is primarily a desk job that involves little or no reporting. News and features editors control reporting staff, allocate assignments and attend editorial conferences.
Sub-editing is detailed copy-editing. Sub-editors are required to re-write stories to fit the assigned space, spruce up introductions and language, proof copy for spelling and punctuation, and sometimes give the story a 'slant' or focus of interest.
Feature writing is more descriptive and detailed than news reporting and can cover any topic of general interest.
Columnists: Like feature writing, columns too are generally handled by experienced journalists who contribute regularly to a publication. These columnists are commentators and critics, who review developments in special areas like politics, sports, consumer affairs, music, art or literature.
Sketches / cartoons range from cartography, graphics and illustrations that enhance a story to caricatures and cartoons that comment on public figures or events.
Photo journalists accompany reporters on assignments to take pictures that support a news story, feature or interview.
Other departments included in the publication of a newspaper or periodical are: production, advertising, legal affairs department, circulation and public relations.

Entry
Entry into journalism is through training in journalism, which could be a diploma or degree course in Journalism or Mass Communication, or through direct appointment as a trainee reporter.

Eligibility:
The eligibility for a course in journalism varies from institution to institution. Generally, journalism is offered as a postgraduate level course, for which the basic eligibility is a Bachelor's degree in any discipline. Journalism is also offered as an undergraduate degree course by some universities, or as part of a wider Programme in mass communication studies for which candidates should have cleared the 10+2 level examination.

Institutions
Some of the important institutions offering courses in journalism include:
Times School of Journalism, Times of India, New Delhi.
Indian Institute of Mass Communications (I.I.M.C.), JNU campus, New Delhi.
Symbiosis Society's Institute of Journalism and Communications, Pune.

Docking This Engineering Life!!

On the strength of my first article, that I wrote in my junior college days and the wide success it got, I heard people asking me, that why I am opting that  career which will take me nowhere & when everyone around me knew that my first love was electronic media and mass communication. And yet, I had no doubt or any second thoughts while taking my feet to a path called engineering…and so also I used to mention to myself everyday that, “Look girl,  engineering is just a path for you, you need to strive for your dream , you need to reach your destination…”
And this is what I was doing, I use to feel that I was not meant for engineering nor was the fact that I hate my field, and to hate something doesn’t mean you don’t like it, it’s just a fact that you stop believing in it…You can love each and everything on this planet but I have no option except to accept this fact, that I was enjoying my field, I was enjoying my engineering but still… yes this still was always attached with my life… But this was just the trailer, picture was abhi baaki thi mere dost…
Engineering…. I never thought that one day I’ll write an article on this topic also, even If I really wanted to write on it, I might have done this either in my initials years or after completing my degree. But to write at this time when there is not a proper start and nor is the climax, then why I am writing, frankly speaking, I think, I too don’t know, but fingers are on the keyboard and here I go…
Whether it’s print or electronic media, it remained as a great attraction right through my school days. But by then I had discovered something which was to grow into an obsession. This was my love of peering down what I feel around me; whether it’s political, social, economical, or on romantic front…I started writing on these themes, it is something that I can never have one single word for it…you call it my words, my articles, my editorials, or my poems…these are something, for me, I may worth die for…but that “still” was still there… I was unable to define it, I guess it was something I was missing in all this above stuff, and that something was everything, it was my engineering…it took time, and it will take more much time, but they say  der aai, par doroost aai”…

Its time to MOVE on….

Don’t know why but whenever I see the ad of the Fast Track watches or its allies products an inner strength build up in me to read its tagline, mentioning clear cut what is title of my article is. Indeed its time to move on. Today read an article from “Soul Curry” from the tabloid of Indian Express “Eye” written by Charulata Ravi Kumar, CEO, Product of the Year, i felt an immense urge to write on something which I was trying to figure out since few years…  We hold up things, people, grudges, relationships, feelings and don’t what else things deep in our heart somewhere. Sometimes we speak it out in vain, and sometimes we don’t even let it come out only, hurting no one other but only our selves.. Most of us hold on to such straws in the hope that our attachment to what’s dear to us will remain forever..  We fear and dislike death to the point of denial, making it different to deal with our loss. But loss is inevitable. Birth, death, failure, success, loss, gain, rejection, acceptance, hatred, love- all must be embraced with equal grace. Because they are equal parts of nature. It’s the law. The truth.  Throughout the years I felt something in me, something which I thought was making me incomplete. Something for which I was craving like a child, who craves for street side chocolates. I was not happy, I felt stressed out, I was in depression, for what, for not been accepted, for not being loved, for not accepting the fact that I was rejected, for few past years, I tried to ruined my all coming years of my life, for few people, I tried to hurt as many people around me who loved me, and lived for me. Is rejected so hard to accept, or is it the humiliation of being rejected by someone who no more exist just mere than our shadow in my life, why we are so much engulfed in my own fear and why we can’t over come it…?? I felt rejected by world that in spite getting through the numero uno marks in university, m still struggling for a good job in a good MNC’S. I felt rejected when I send thousands of texts to my “buddies” but yet not being replied even once. I felt rejected that being the eldest sibling in our family, I was being outlooked. I felt rejected with the question to myself,  that is my impatient nature or my nature of moving fast and moving out from life..??  Let’s see things with practical eyes rather being in fantasy, is everything constant in this world?? Death is taken by new birth, childhood is taken by the youthfulness, middle age by old one, old true friends are in memories and we get in contact with new “real” buddies in the co-operate world, crushes are taken by love, love is taken by marriage, parents are left behind and we move in with are partners, and we go on with the endless list. It’s my personal opinion, by my choice, that nothing here is constant. May be I am completely wrong in some eyes but this is my thinking. We are the matter made up of energy. If recall some old science theory, energy is not created or destroyed, it’s just converted in other form, and so is our lives. Why we get so mess up with our lives, and make it complex, when the life is not that complex in the eyes of almighty. The nature changes, and it is the law, and we all abide by it, isn’t it??  Miss Charulata has some suggestions how to overcome the pain of loss.. 1.    Let go to the fear of death. Death is not dark, it is not sorrow, its just a step forward for another new life. Yes we will miss dear ones, but we can remember them in the memories we are fonf of them but not the one which haunts us. Instead of mourning, spent it in more silence than the outburst. 2.    Let go of your bonds with material things. The material things around us are symbolic only of our life’s mile stone. S we are drive through the life, we should learn to leave the milestones where they are. We need to reach our destination and drive on; not pick up the stones as mementos. 3.    Let go the constant need for physical proximity. Throughout the lives, we must learn to let go of siblings as they get married, of parents as they die, of friends as they part, and of crushes, infatuations and lovers, as we/they move on or break up. 4.    Let go your inhibitions. Brought up on the values that our parents hold dear, we create taboos down as heirlooms. “ONLY A FREE MIND THAT ASKS QUESTIONS WILL HAVE THE STRENGTH TO FACE PAIN”. But more important than the open answers to these questions is what will break the pain barriers with ease. 5.    Learn to go of possessiveness. Our fear of losing our friends, partners, and children is but an expression of our need of control and feel our powers over them. Its perhaps the most difficult but the most important of all detachments we need to practice. And as for me, the answers to all life awaited questions are having answers clear now, no door is closed for me, if it get closed, another is there ready waitin for me for my entrance, my problem was I am looking long at the closing door, and it lies with all of us. It’s the path that may be wrong but not the destination, a chapter is ended if something goes wrong, not the end of the book, Journey is awaitin and I need to complete it.  I will strive to hold on to my dearest people and their memories closest to my heart, but it’s time to let them go or its time to just simply MOVE on..

Love......

Love…
I always write articles, it’s been political, social, personal…writing articles is been my passion, it’s something where I feel myself discovered, it’s something what you can call “my first love”. Well it’s the month of Feb., it’s the month of “love”…so I felt to let my thoughts bore nectar of this divine feeling in my words…
To write something about love, let me first confess, I really don’t know what is divine love, but this what I felt to pen it down…To fall in Love, or Love at first sight, I think these are the common words that we hear every day all around, isn’t it?? But what exactly Love is?? I think Love is that feeling which cannot be expressed in words, or for which words are just the limits…Love is the most divine & purest relation that has been bestowed to human kind on this planet…
Love…Love is the pearl on the eyelashes; Love is a throbbing eternal heart…Love is the dew that drips drop by drop to fill the oceans….Love is the greenery that grows on the rocks…Love is the oasis in the desert for the thirsty ones, Love is the rising stream!! Love…Love is the divine attribute….it’s such a feeling which gives us the feeling of completeness…
Everyone on this earth have been in Love with someone…Somewhere or the other we fall for someone, someone who makes our world complete. But not everyone on this earth is bestowed with such a divine feeling…everyone feels that I should also be loved by the person whom I love, but this is not always possible…we always expect that they should reply our feelings but have we ever expected to whom we making them wait for our just their one expectation… Love is not to impress, its need to be expressed, impress develops, “so what” attitude, but express develops, “me too” attitude, but it’s always not necessary to express the feelings only by words, there are different ways to express your feelings, where eyes are the first…may be the last….sometimes they do speak, but the fact is that they always remain unread… and that unread eyes speak in another form as first tears…
It’s just far not to say, you may have heard of one diehard craze, as again not say but need to tell…it’s… “One Sided Love Affairs”. The latest statistics by Times of India (21st Feb. 2010), saying that “Every year the lives ended by one sided love affairs is more as compared to poverty in our country, as much as near about 1925 people end their lives every year…” and now this is wrong men…To be very honest is one side love, is really a love?? It’s just not the Love. One sided love is like a cancer of your feelings, if you not cure it at your earliest, it will ruin your life. It doesn’t unite two hearts… Remember egg broken from outside, a life ends, but a egg broken from within, a new life starts…Great things always begin from within, you can’t force any one for your feelings, if it’s really your True Love, then it will be yours, no one in this universe can let you apart from them, but if it’s not, then no one in this universe will make them yours… its bitter but its truth, it may be just an attraction, or you can call it an infatuation, with a fake face called “Love”, but it’s not your Love…
Love is something different, Love is blessing by almighty, it develops in both the hearts, where both care for each other, both respect each other’s emotions and feelings, where both nurture their purest relation on wheels of trust and honesty…to sustain any relation, especially when its love, I guess you define yourself on these two wheels, where “I trust you” should follow before “I love you” or else, it’s not possible to be committed without these two pearls in your love life…
Another fact that I have seen is that, Love dwelling from friendship, these kinds of feelings is very common now a day’s…to be very frank and honest I personally don’t have any kind of problem from these relations, but where I see problem again is that fiery “one side love”, if he or she is not your love but at least he or she was your friend, otherwise again you lose one relation from his or her heart, and it’s the blister gift of  their “friendship” …But if suppose it’s from both the sides, it’s  such a beautiful relation, I mean it’s really so sweet to know that your friend has lend his or her hand for the journey of your lifetime, I mean who knows you more than yourself, only that shadow of your face, whom you call it as your “friend”, isn’t it such purest form of love??
Love is not any physical attraction, nor it’s a part while being always together, though these are two main reasons for someone who “think” to “fall” in Love…Sometimes it’s not face that matters, it’s something that lies deep within them, which always bind us to them, sorry friends again unable to express that feeling in words….nor even is to be together with them…distance can also matter sometimes…it’s hard to accept, but when accepted nothing on earth will keep you apart from them… One day, the waves have to meet the seashore… When the distance is so much, the feeling of nearness starts…Love has a hope, hatred is hopeless…Love is not only to want, but to sacrifice also…Even if it includes your happiness…
True love is not to want them, but to feel them…It brings smile on your face, when they are happy, it’s not always to be together, but a feeling of togetherness completes when they feel contented to let their lives with someone…it’s a not feeling of what we desire, but it’s a feeling of what we deserve…it’s pleasure watching them happy in their lives, sometimes with us…and many times, without us… what makes us feel good, is to know what makes them happy…
And if you miss Love, then you are missing something, but if you are missing your God, then you are missing everything, because, Love is only substantial thing in life, all else is illusion. Let Love grow in you all & God will be growing on its own accord. If you are missing love, then I am sure you are missing your God…There is no way to God without love….God is the fragrance of Love and nothing else. God is echo from universe, when you’re in Love then that echo is there…And if God is the echo of the universe, then your Love for sure, is echo of that universe!! You just need to take that name, and if you’ve already taken the name your love, and if really that echo is there, then it will come back, your Love will come back….Just wait for your God’s justice…
Some people said me, that “Your expressions for love, seems a form of fake imagination, its baseless… You can never speak on True Love...” So here again, they mistook my definition of True Love…then for them I am writing, just one verse from my poem that what True Love means to me:
“Some are there in this world, comparing my love with lust…But, I am comparing…My vision, with his eyes…My heart beats, with his breath…My existence, with his life…I am comparing…My lord, with his face…”
True Love is like the chaste of pearl, always remained untouched, but always been questioned on its purity. I don’t about others, but for me, what I feel…“True Love is like the divinity given by Almighty, having the power to turn the course blood running in a woman’s chest, into pure milk running in a mother’s breast…”

Phising Scam

WHAT IS PHISHING?

A phishing scam is when someone fraudulently and illegally imitates a trustworthy source to steal usernames, passwords, credit cards info, etc.

It can not only occur through e-mail, but also through wall posts, facebook messages, and Facebook chat.
...

HOW TO RECOVER

If you think you have had your account compromised, immediately change your Facebook password at
https://www.facebook.com/editaccount.php

Also, report the scam to Facebook by sending an e-mail to privacy@facebook.com

HOW TO AVOID BEING SCAMMED

Before entering any sensitive information like usernames or passwords, make sure you are on facebook.com and not a similar, but different domain.

Read the Facebook blog for suggestions and what they're doing to help:
http://blog.new.facebook.com/blog.php?post=25844207130

HOW TO RECOGNIZE A PHISHING WEBSITE

It is easy to make a domain name (thus a URL, or web address) look legitimate when it is fraudulent. The only part of a domain name that is unique to the owner is the part immediately before the .com or .org, etc. So anything that ends with facebook.com (like ilstu.facebook.com, or photos-d.ak.facebook.com) with no single forward slash (/) to the left of it, is legitimately Facebook. A website can include the term "facebook" before the domain in something called a subdomain. For instance, an address like this looks moderately legitimate: facebook.com.profile.php.id.335781.com. But a closer look reveals that the domain is actually 335781.com. The rest of the terms are subdomains. So always check the domain before you share personal info. For more on the anatomy of URLs (web addresses) take a look at the images in this group's photo gallery below.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

1) Why would someone want to steal Facebook e-mails and passwords? If a phisher steals your profile, they have access to the trust of all of your friends, which can lead to manipulation (called "social engineering" - see the "London scam" below). Phishers may also attempt to use your password on other online accounts associated with your e-mail address.

2) Why is it so urgent that word gets out about this? Imagine this scenario: The scam starts with one person who has 300 friends, so it gets sent to 300 people. Even if only 1% of people fall for it, 3 more account logins have been collected and compromised. The next day, wall posts are sent out from 3 accounts to a total of 900 people. 9 more people fall for it, and the total of compromised accounts is 13. If this trend continues daily, by the end of the week, over 300,000 people have come into contact with the scam, and the phishers have unauthorized access to over 3,000 Facebook accounts. By 14 days, over 2 million Facebook profiles have been compromised. This can spread like wildfire if people are unaware of the scam.
